What is a Café Philo?
Participants propose topics, we choose one together, and then discuss it in an open yet orderly way. But what counts as a topic?
A topic can be a question about the meaning of life, our relationship to the world we live in, the difference between good and evil, how we distinguish truth from falsehood, reality from illusion, or beauty from its absence. There are many such deep questions that philosophers, scientists, and writers have grappled with throughout history.
If you are interested in exploring these or other questions, we invite you to join our philosophical café – a gathering where you can express your ideas, share your knowledge, and perhaps discover something new.
Our discussions are serious and rigorous, yet often enjoyable.
No background in philosophy or the humanities is required. If you do have one, you are of course very welcome.

Format
A moderator guides the discussion, ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to contribute in a welcoming environment. No one is obliged to speak. Maximum number of participants: 30.
This is not a lecture. It is an exchange of ideas in which your questions and perspectives are genuinely valued. The tone is respectful; views that are contemptuous of human dignity will not be entertained.

Who Can Attend
Everyone, regardless of background or level of philosophical knowledge – from seasoned philosophers to anyone simply curious about life's big questions.
