English Country Dancing! Join a friendly group doing dances that are easy to learn, easy on the limbs, good exercise, and a lot of fun! No partner necessary, new people always welcome - but come 15 minutes early so we can get you oriented, as the easiest dances at the start prepare you for slightly more complicated ones later.

English Country Dancing in Rancho Bernardo!
Rancho Bernardo Swim & Tennis Club, 16955 Bernardo Oaks Dr, San Diego, CA, USJoin us this Sunday, June 7th, at 6 pm when we'll enjoy another fun program of dances with calling by Judee, Ellie, and Ellen!
FYI, these dances happen regularly regardless of how many sign up from Meetup, so come!
English Country Dance is an easily accessible and fun form of dancing - you might have seen some versions of it in films like Pride and Prejudice.
- The dancing is from 6:00 to 8:30, this Sunday, June 7th.
- Beginners welcome!
- If it's your first time, please try to arrive at least 15 minutes early and we'll give you some simple instructions to help you feel comfortable.
- We're a friendly group of people, so no need to feel shy!
- We dance three Sundays a month at the Rancho Bernardo Swim & Tennis Club. Our dances this month are June 7th, June 21st, and June 28th.
- Entry is $10 for regular nights or $15 when we have special live music nights; paid at the door with cash, check or Venmo.
- Come alone or with a partner. You'll mix around.
- Dress comfortably, wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes for dancing and enjoy the evening!
Each dance is taught by the caller prior to the start, and then the figures continue to be prompted during the dance as necessary. Dancing is done to recorded music, though we occasionally have live music as a special treat. There is a short break about halfway through the evening when we enjoy yummy snacks.
