English Country Dancing in Rancho Bernardo! January 18th is an AFTERNOON dance!

Welcome to English Country Dancing in 2026! Come dance with our fun and friendly group! PLEASE NOTE: There has been interest in having a SUNDAY AFTERNOON dance; so, to try this out, this JANUARY 18th our dance will start at 3 pm instead of our usual later time. This is a trial for this date only.
English Country Dance is an easily accessible and fun form of dancing - you might have seen some versions of it in films like Pride and Prejudice.

• The dancing begins at 3 pm this Sunday, January 18th.
• Beginners welcome!
• If it's your first time, please try to arrive at least 15 minutes early and we'll give you some simple instructions to start you off.
• We dance every first, third and fourth Sunday at the Rancho Bernardo Swim & Tennis Club.
• Entry is $10 for regular nights, $15 for live music nights; paid at the door with cash, check or Venmo.
• Come alone or with a partner. You'll mix around.
• Dress comfortably, wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes for dancing and enjoy the evening!

Each dance is taught by the caller prior to the start, and then the figures continue to be prompted during the dance as necessary. Dancing is done to recorded music, though we occasionally have live music as a special treat. There is a short break about halfway through the evening when we enjoy yummy snacks.
