Let´s be greek and dive today on…
What should we do... in a world where the open fronts that call our response and urgent human action are diverse and overwhelming, most of us mostly respond by voting every 4 years and... not much more. Democracy seems to have made us delegate much of our action power into the political parties but... is that enough, is that right?
It looks like an immense quantity of human changing power has simply vanished between elections, and that voting is one way of committing to the world we live in... but not the only one nor, necessarily, the most effective one. And inside the rules of the democratic states there is enough room to maneuver, enough freedom, enough resources, to get things moving much beyond voting... but are we using that power ? that freedom ? that energy ... and... how should we ?
Defend openly our ideas and convince others ? Engage in a non profit? Help the elderly neighbours go down the stairs... everyday? once a week? Only when we casually meet them on our way out?
How much is right, enough... ?
Priorize one cause and fight for it... or devote 1 hour a day to the most basic universal problems.. or wait for a pragmatic opportunity to make a meaningful change...?
Us, the privileged , may feel overwhelmed by the options... not only to buy in a Mall where all possible marketing strategies ever developed attack us from multiple angles as we advance... but also by all possible options to act, to respond, to engage... too many fronts... too many possibilites...
and very little time...
What should we do ?
Let s think about acting...
