### “Japan’s Catacombs” – Yoshimi Hyakuana
Next, we explore 吉見百穴, often called “Japan’s Catacombs.”
These mysterious ancient cave tombs date back to the Kofun period and create a dramatic, almost otherworldly atmosphere.

Before exploring the caves, we’ll enjoy handmade udon or soba at the charming 巌窟売店, located near the cave site. Simple, local, and delicious!
