Living the New Economy Convergence (http://www.bayareaneweconomy.org) from Oct 23-26 in Oakland will bring entrepreneurs, investors, activists, non-profits, producers, and makers to inspire new ideas and produce tangible projects that move us closer to a New Economy.

Nationally recognized keynote speakers Charles Eisenstein (author, Sacred Economics), Thomas Greco (author,The End of Money and the Future of Civilization), and Ian McKenzie (filmmaker & media activist) will set the stage for a dynamic four-day exploration of local New Economy initiatives and opportunities across issues such as: Alternative money & finance, economic justice, access to housing and rebuilding neighborhoods, food justice, revitalizing local manufacturing, etc.

The first two days of the Convergence will feature panel discussions, presentations, and interactive workshops, punctuated by contributions from local performing artists. In the second two days, Convergence participants will put their new insights into action by developing projects in teams and pitching to a panel of judges on Sunday. Three projects will be selected for incubation with Uptima Business Bootcamp, an innovative member-owned business accelerator program.
