Sierra Talk: Regenerating Our Planet

This event is being hosted by the Sierra Club, San Diego Chapter. Please join us to hear from Joe Houde, Sierra Club member and president of the North County Climate Change Alliance.

Most of our efforts, valuable as they are, are missing the most important lever for cooling the planet. What then, are the key actions needed to heal our planet?

During this online talk we will explore the crucial role of the biotic pump in cooling the planet, rehabilitating air quality, and approaches to restoring degraded lands, watersheds and water cycles. We will consider what’s needed globally and propose solutions for the San Diego bioregion, watersheds and coastal zone. Expanding green lands and regenerative agriculture can reverse polar ice cap melting.
