I did this last year. Very fun. I think the best way to do it is get there relatively early in the evening, right when it opens to avoid most of the lines. So, we'll plan on carpooling from FC at 4 to be sure to be there when it opens at 6.
Basic General Admission ticket is $32.99+$2.00 for timed entry at 6. Plus a $5.00 "ticketing fee." My total was $39.99. LOTS of upsells - Cut the Line, Escape Rooms, Bars, Ax Throwing, Photos, etc. I'm skipping all of those, but feel free if you're into any of them. We'll plan on spending a couple of hours there (it's a whole complex).
We can discuss carpooling when the time gets closer, but a good place to meet would probably be the South Transit Center at Harmony/I25.
