A somatic listening and sound journey · This workshop begins in the body. Through subtle, guided movement — weight shifting, breath, attention to sensation — we turn listening inward. Into the body. Into the space between sounds. Into the micro-movements we rarely notice. A geophone microphone picks up the vibrations of movement in the space, amplifying them back into the room. You may hear your own weight shifting. You may hear someone else's. The boundary between the two begins to dissolve. The sound doesn't create connection. It reveals it. From movement we move into stillness. Into deep collective listening. Into sound. Resonant instruments — singing bowls, gong, chimes, tuning forks — meet field recordings of the natural world. The room settles into a full sound bath, arriving into a body that has already been opened by movement.
