Lincoln Labs, Seasteading Institute, Independent Institute Welcome President Hernandez of Honduras to San FranciscoDisrupting Democracy - Creating Zones for Economic Development and Employment
(San Francisco, California) - Today, Lincoln Labs, a premier liberty-focused technology thought-leadership group and the Seasteading Institute announced that President Juan Orlando Hernandez of Honduras will participate in the Disrupting Democracy speaker series in San Francisco on Monday, June 8, 2015.
Honduras has enacted the boldest legislation of any nation in recent history, effectively opening a new jurisdictional frontier. Zones for Economic Development and Employment, (ZEDEs) will be developed with entirely new governmental systems, fostering a market of governance bodies competing to attract residents.
“We are extremely excited to hear from President Hernandez on how Honduras is approaching the new economic frontier,” said Garrett Johnson, co-founder of Lincoln Labs. “As technology continues to outpace governance, it is crucial that we discuss new and different ways for countries and commerce to interact.”
