Lacey Green Windmill, Hampden Common and Hammer House – Country Hike

Walk length 10.5miles/17km approx. Circular.

A picturesque circular hike from Princes Risborough across fields and woods to Lacey Green Windmill, Hampden Common and past Hampden House. We will have a snack lunch stop on Hampden Common which is also close to a pub.

As well as passing Lacey Green Windmill the hike passes Hampden House which has been used in various films including Bridget Jones, Hammer House and Midsummer murders.

There is a pub very close to the station at the end of the walk.

THIS IS A MEDIUM UNDULATING HIKE WITH SOME SUBSTANTIAL HILLY SECTIONS, PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS.

Train from London: The 9.42am train from London Marylebone gets to Princes Risborough for 10.25am. I suggest you arrive at London Marylebone for 9.15am to give you time to get tickets and any group saves. Please note the organizer will meet you at Princes Risborough.
Meet outside Princes Risborough station for the hike to start at 10.30am after the train from London arrives. Car parking is not free but some side roads are (please check for restrictions).

Train is approx £20 return with a group save or by using a network railcard.
