A Botanical Odyssey
A trip to Yemen's Socotra archipelago is a botanical odyssey in an alien-looking world reminiscent of Jurassic Park. Referred to by scientists as the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean, it is home to shipwrecks and caves and is surrounded by impossibly turquoise waters.
The island is so secluded that a third of its plant life is endemic! Its isolation and insane biodiversity lead some to believe it to be the original place of the Garden of Eden. We've been visiting this incredible part of Yemen since 2013 and have taken hundreds of travelers here.

Accommodation InformationThe island of Socotra is one of the most isolated places on earth. Tourism is still in its infantry stages; facilities like hotels, WIFI, and roads are still quite basic.
We will be camping and staying in eco-camps throughout our time on the island.
