About us
The group is for people who want to know more about the real International Language.
What is Esperanto? It's a language that is particularly useful for international communication and travelling.
Esperanto is both the easiest and richest language in the world, the basis of a thriving international culture. Speakers of Esperanto can be found in nearly every country of the world – from France to Japan, from Iceland to Chile – and they all share their thoughts and literature and music in Esperanto.
There are many reasons to learn Esperanto. It's easy, expressive, neutral, fun and can help you in many ways.
Easier: Thanks to the structure of Esperanto, it's usually much easier to master than other foreign languages.
Expressive: Using Esperanto, you can express yourself just as well as you can in your native tongue, and in some cases you will find that Esperanto allows you to express something better.
Neutral: Esperanto doesn't belong to any one country or ethic group, so everyone can be equal when they use it.
Fun: Apart from the fun of learning Esperanto, Esperanto is also fun to use. There is a real spirit of community among Esperanto speakers everywhere. Usually Esperanto speakers have interests and mindsets in common, for example open-mindedness, thinking independently, high level of interest in other cultures and interest in languages.
Great for travelling: It's very interesting to travel using Esperanto. You can stay in the homes of other Esperanto speakers (usually for free) and so get an insider's view of the country or region.
