Please bring some food or drinks to share, but you are not obligated to bring anything, or eat and drink anything. :)
During this event we will have the Election of Officers for the Organization. To be a Voting Member of SFERO, please go to https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/sfero-san-francisco-esperanto-regional-organization-memberships--2025 to pay your Annual Dues, between $5 and $15 (plus any Tax DEDUCTIBLE donation you'd like to add - A common additional donation is $18.87... because Esperanto was first introduced in the year 1887. :)

Generally, we meet the First Saturday of every month. with the following exceptions:
-
In January, we replace the usual meeting with our Annual ZAMENHOF Lunch/Dinner, in-person. - date and location to be decided
-
May meeting is usually a barbecue at a private home in Oakland. Please make contact for details.
-
July and August, there is no formal meeting, but some time during the summer we have at least one in-person outing together. And maybe a picnic too! :) And, maybe some virtual meetings too... ah, summer, the time to be a little freer in our activities. - Stay in touch for details!
-
September, due to the Labor Day weekend, we may move the meeting to the SECOND Saturday. - Stay in touch for details.
-
December 15 is Doctor ZAMENHOF's birthday. We usually have a birthday party and book exchange, in-person. -
Stay in touch for details.
Meetings are, loosely:
1:00 p.m. - If there are beginners, we will make arrangements for someone to be a "translator"/helper (usually in the chat if virtual). But, listening to experienced speakers is worthwhile in and of itself. Listen for the -o and -a words as they go by. :) Please ask for assistance when you arrive and say "Saluton"!
1:30 p.m. - Babilado - Conversation, news, meet newcomers
2:00 p.m. - Sometimes we have a formal program - guest speaker, announcements, introductions
When in-person, the event often includes lunch or dinner, during or after the event.
