BIRTHDAY SPECIAL: AIxBlockchain

January is our birthday month! So we're celebrating by venturing into the world of AI.

Everyone assumes AI and blockchain tech are going to converge but no-one's sure what that will look like.

This meetup we will be meeting the AIxBlockchain companies already in existence and together trying to imagine future use cases.

SuperSight.xyz - Sungjung Kim
Kim, an Imperial College alumnus with a Physics degree, has a background in fintech through her roles at UBS and Fidelity. Her journey in the crypto space began with Cindicator, where she helped build a crypto robo-advisor.

She co-founded SuperSight with Jay and Leo to address a common challenge in crypto trading: the need for an easier way to access information.

SuperSight is a crypto-specific LLM that simplifies querying complex data or browsing the internet for crypto-related information.

**DeepSearchLabs.com** - Maryam Torshizi
Maryam comes from an Electronics and Electrical Engineering background with a focus on signal processing. She has worked as a Quantitative Researcher, Data Scientist, and Consultant for both sell side and buy side. She is the founder and current CEO of the company.

Deepsearch Labs is an AI search engine for industry needs. Our platform:

1. Visualizes info from in-house datasets, augmented with online DSL data collected over the years.
2. Acts as an AI analyst, it uncovers connections, trends, and generates research reports. It also provides sentiment signals that are alpha generating for trading purposes; we use these signals to trade out own money. These signals are also used by crypto asset management firms and exchanges.

JanusDeFi.com - Dr. Stylianos Kampakis
Janus is an inflation adjusted stability protocol that leverages a two token ecosystem to provide unique stability by generating its own demand. The model is designed to reduce volatility and sustain as a store of wealth.

Janus extends emerging flat coin principles. It is a store of value represented by algorithmic semi-stable coins that track changes in inflation and adjusts its value accordingly by combining a novel AlgoFi concept that leverages AI.

**FLock.io** - Tim Shen
[FLock.io](http://flock.io/) is a London-based distributed machine learning and blockchain start-up founded by a group of Oxford graduates. They are building the world’s first on-chain neural processor to resolve the conflict between the growing demand for data and the risk of data breaches.

Our platform allows data owners to train machine learning models without sharing source data and form a consensus on the output in a transparent and decentralised way. It is provably privacy-preserving, bandwidth-saving, and interoperable among different entities.

Paul Dowling (aka Flux AI NFT artist)
Our moderator for the evening. Paul has over 30 years experience of working in technology including 10 years working with startup founders and investors in the European technology startup eco-system leading several startup accelerators. Paul is passionate about the potential for organisations to innovate through artificial intelligence and insights gained through data science.
