This will be a new format for our workshops using the Solidity programming language and development on the POC8 version of our software.

Event will include group work activities, project pitching and the demonstration of the latest cutting edge features of the Ethereum stack.

In order to keep the feel of a small workshop and for everyone to get the most out of it we will limit the number of attendees to 15 - and there will be a deposit of 5GBP required (to be refunded on the day).

DEVELOPER WORKSHOP

Do you like the bleeding edge? Not afraid of compiling things on Linux or OSX?

Then please RSVP to attend this developer-specific event, focused on learning how to program smart contracts in Solidity.

We expect it to last a whole day, with 2/3 dedicated to learn everything about Ethereum, smart contracts and their decentralized GUIs, followed by a mini hackathon until max 7pm.

COME PREPARED

Level of skills required not because writing dapps is hard, but because Ethereum is currently rapidly iterating over its software, so things will break. Please try and insure you have the client the latest master build of Alethzero installed on your platform before arriving especially if you run Linux or windows.

Ideal background would be 2+ years of web development, and anyone who can program in Python, C++ or Java will feel at home.

We reserve the right to refuse entry.

HOW TO GET THERE

Once again, the venue and date is secured thanks to the amazing people at the The Escalator ( http://www.theescalator.com/ ). Their twitter handle is @LondonEscalator (https://twitter.com/LondonEscalator), check them out.

Once you are at the address (you can't miss it, it's a huge building!), enter the Cafe Foxcroft and Ginger (to the left of the big dog mural) and directly make your way upstairs. There will be Ethereum signs, but not necessarily staff to welcome you as it's a Saturday, so tap on the door if needed and ask security to let you wait in the reception area.

If you are late, make your way directly to the "Coin" room (against please ask security to show you the way).

Here's a link to handy map: http://bit.ly/theescalator

By Tube: Stop in WhiteChapel (turn left as you exit the station) or Stepney Green (turn right as you exit the station), it's a 7 minute walk either way (but buses are available if needed).

By Bus: 25, 205 and N205 all stop nearby.
