What we're about
Our group focuses on Network infiltration, Web application vulnerability testing, security assessments and of course CTFs.. Geeking out on all things InfoSec, play a little and Learn alot!
The goal is to have weekly meetings to hone our skills.
Upcoming events (4+)
Until further notice, 2600 will meet online. There is also an online NetKotH Capture-the-flag competition. Check the 2600 website for more details: https://atl2600.org . Video chat is at: https://rsvz.userserviceable.com/b/bri-kha-6kx
Monthly meeting usually involves a CTF (if you want to participate), in which case bring a laptop, if you have Kali, BackBox, or security tools installed great!
Named after the zine, 2600 meetings are a monthly gathering in a public location where we chat about recent events in security and privacy. Topics discussed vary wildly. There’s no cost, and no structure. There’s a few regulars and a few people finding us for the first time every month.
When they are in person, our meetings are held on the Market level (lowest level) of the food court (http://www.gps-coordinates.net/latitude-longitude/33.844838/-84.361045/17/roadmap) in Lenox Mall, near the outside doors. When you enter in the outside doors on Market Level, look for the table in the middle or close to the glass with of laptops and cables. There is parking very close to the food court, directly opposite the mall from Peachtree. Lenox Square Mall 3393 Peachtree Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30326
All ages/skill levels welcome. No dues, feel free to bring new friends.

Q: What are DC-Groups?
A: The DEF CON Groups were spawned from the annual DEF CON security conference in Las Vegas. The DEF CON Groups (DCGs or DC-Groups) are a gathering point for folks interested in the alternate applications of modern technology, referred to properly as 'hacking'. DCGs are not intended to compete with any other computer groups, such as 2600, but rather to provide yet another gathering place for the discussion of technology and security topics. DCG meetings are open to anyone, regardless of their skill, age, job, gender, etc. DCGs are designed to help you learn new things, meet new people, mentor others in areas you may be strong in, and provide some cohesion within the hacker culture and it's members.
-- DCG FAQ (https://defcongroups.org/dcgfaq.html)
We meet in the basement/bar area of the restaurant and there's a lot more parking around back (the front is along Main Street and parking is minimal). If entering the restaurant from the back door, the stairs are immediate to the left. If entering from the front door, go all the way to the back and down the stairs.
