Ethical Society Mid Rivers

ESMR is a humanist community for those who believe in logic, science, ethics, LGBTQ rights, and social action. We believe how we live and what we do with our lives is important. How we treat each other does matter.

On Sundays at 10:30AM, meet others who are for the life transformation that occurs when simple basic goodness is placed over religion. This radical shift is liberating and brings people heart-to-heart. This is so significant that it can be said "Morality over religion is our religion." The more the world moves in this direction, the more justice and fairness, community and love can be created.

We commit ourselves to the unique worth of every person. We build relationships that bring out the best in others and in ourselves. Our faith is in the human capacity to create a better world.

Platforms include a monthly Living Ethics Discussion and speakers who bring new eye-opening perspectives. Some of us join the Ethical Society as a more formal pledged/financial commitment than a Meetup group, but that is not a requirement to RSVP here. Ethical Society Mid Rivers relies on the generosity of our supporters and members to sustain our facilities, platform presentations and events. Sunday Ethical Education for Kids (SEEK) is also offered during our regular program/platform when in-person. Therefore, as a safety precaution, we need to ask that your profile photo is of yourself (a close-up of your face; no scenery, pets, etc.), and we want to properly welcome you at your first event!

Here, people of many stripes feel at home with one another, whether they are spiritual but not religious, religious but not dogmatic, spirited but not spiritual, artists but not ritualists, activists but not fundamentalists, and whether they are agnostics, atheists, theists or etheists. To be clear, we do not allow religious proselytizing that is based on anything other than ethics. Join us to explore your belief in Good!
