Welcome to Eugene Veggies, a group of diverse vegans, vegetarians, and veg-leaning people. The group was designed to create some veg community, to support a healthy veg lifestyle, education, and to have some really fun events.

You can begin by checking out upcoming events and RSVPing for those that look good to you. Events are the main and best way to participate in Eugene Veggies. Reading the monthly newsletter is also part of staying in touch. To get the newsletter, make sure your meetup settings allow you to receive organizer emails/announcements. (WARNING: Using meetup's mobile app causes several problems, including stopping emails.)

While Eugene Veggies is free to you to join, the Organizer me/JJ is covering several costs: meetup, name tags, extra food, paper, door prizes etc, etc, etc. *Rarely* donation jars are put out at some events. Participation is completely optional though.

Important note: when you RSVP 'yes' for an event, it is expected that you will change your RSVP in advance if you find you can't make it after all. Event hosts invest a good deal of time and resources. Also, for some events, local businesses go to extra effort on our behalf--based on the number of RSVPs. Last minute cancels and no shows are a serious problem! Please be respectful of everyone's time and energy by being responsible with your RSVP. Thank you. :-)

Please save the following e-mail address. Meetup is notorious for not passing on messages. The best way to actually reach the organizer, who loves to hear from members, is to contact JJ directly. Also, using the Meetup 'messages' feature is not private or flexible. Use:
