Join us for Part 2 of our Ulu Pandan riverbank trail series! Covering approximately 7km at a comfortable, conversational pace, this evening walk traces the upstream headwaters of the Ulu Pandan River down to the Pandan River, across the iconic Jurong Circular Bridge, and along the scenic edges of Pandan Reservoir.

After the walk, we will take a short public bus ride back to JEM to wrap up our evening over a social dinner at the bustling, air-conditioned Kopitiam Food Hall!

### Event Schedule

  • 5:00 PM – Main Event: Meet outside H&M store on Level 2 of JEM (linked to Jurong East MRT Station Exit C). Please be punctual!
  • Optional Social Dinner: Treat your tastebuds and recharge with fellow members at the sprawling, beautifully styled Kopitiam Food Hall on Level 5 of JEM!

### The Route & Highlights

  • J-Walk & International Business Park: Start from JEM, taking the sheltered 2nd-floor J-Walk linkway through Perennial Business City and down Boon Lay Way, passing International Business Park on our right.
  • Ulu Pandan River: Descend onto the south bank of the Ulu Pandan River as it heads south.
  • Wildlife & Bird Spotting: Keep your eyes peeled for native birds and active riverside animals along the trail! Please refer to the 2 educational wildlife guide photos created by our host (in the event photo section below) for fun identification tips and facts.
  • The "Y" River Confluence: Watch as the western leg of Ulu Pandan River we are on meets the eastern leg (from Buona Vista end) near the AYE. The two streams merge into a single broad channel—the Pandan River—forming a distinct "Y" shape.
  • Jurong Circular Bridge: We will cross over the AYE via the iconic, elevated Ulu Pandan Park Connector Bridge, fondly referred to by locals as the Jurong Circular Bridge.
  • Pandan River & Pandan Reservoir: Walk along the breezy riverbank of Pandan River down to Pandan Reservoir (dammed in 1974 by impounding the mouth of Pandan River). Enjoy serene, open waterfront views along the reservoir edge up to Paddle Lodge @ Pandan Reservoir.
  • Return & Social Dinner: Take a short public bus ride back to JEM to wrap up our evening!

### **Important Note on Post-Event Ratings**

This event is entirely free and run by dedicated volunteers who contribute their time and effort to bring the community together, so leaving a 5-star rating is the best way to acknowledge our volunteer hosts! If you are unable to rate 5 stars, please skip the rating altogether. To maintain a supportive environment for our volunteer team, members who leave sub-5-star ratings despite this guidance may be removed from the group and future events without further notice.

### Our Meetup Message Response Policy

We will not be replying to Meetup messages from 2 hours before the event until the following day, as our hosts will be focused on managing the event and supporting attendees in person. For help during this period, please join our official WhatsApp group. Since we only add members after meeting them in person to keep our WhatsApp community safe, first-time participants should arrive a few minutes early to scan our WhatsApp QR code and gain access to live group support.

### Haze Contingency Plan

We will monitor official 1-hour PM2.5 readings before the event starts. If air quality hits NEA Band 4 (Very High, >250), we will pause the outdoor walk and move indoors for tea while tracking updates. If levels remain high, we will skip the walk and pivot fully to a social dinner. Staying connected is vital for our mental well-being, especially when haze limits our outdoor routines.
