Scenic Walk & Social Dinner: Little Guilin, Bukit Batok Hill & CMPB

Join us for a scenic western green corridor adventure as we explore the picturesque landscapes of Bukit Batok! Covering approximately 6km at a comfortable, conversational pace, this evening trail takes us through majestic quarry views and elevated nature spots before wrapping up at the new Central Manpower Base (CMPB). Afterwards, unwind with fellow members over dinner at an affordable food court with live music.

Event Schedule
• 5:15 PM – Main Event: Meet at Bukit Gombak MRT Station, Exit B. (Please be punctual)
• Optional Social Dinner: Wrap up the evening over great food and vibrant live music at Timbre+ Hillview (#02-102 CMPB), an air-conditioned food court featuring a live band.

The Route & Highlights
• Stop 1: Little Guilin (Bukit Batok Town Park) – Marvel at the dramatic granite outcrop sitting atop the 250-million-year-old Gombak Norite geological formation, which provided the toughest natural building stone in Singapore.
• Stop 2: Bukit Batok Nature Park / Bukit Batok Hill – Enjoy lush greenery, tranquil quarry views, and peaceful natural surroundings as we navigate through the park.
• Final Stop: CMPB (Central Manpower Base) – Conclude our walk at the newly developed CMPB hub, which is connected to Cashew MRT Station by a pedestrian bridge. The new CMPB breaks away from the traditional, restricted-access design of older military camps. By housing publicly accessible amenities, it functions as a community-centric space integrated with the surrounding Hillview and Bukit Gombak neighbourhoods.

What to Bring
• Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers
• An EZ-Link card or mobile payment for public transport/bus
• A water bottle to stay hydrated
• An umbrella or raincoat (in case of wet weather)
• Insect repellent
• Your charged smartphone (for photo taking, and in case you get separated from the group, to access live location sharing by the host on WhatsApp)
• An appetite for good food and great conversations!

Our Meetup Message Response Policy
We will not be replying to Meetup messages from 2 hours before the event until the following day, as our hosts will be focused on managing the event and supporting attendees in person. For help during this period, please join our official WhatsApp group. Since we only add members after meeting them in person to keep our WhatsApp community safe, first-time participants should arrive a few minutes early to scan our WhatsApp QR code and gain access to live group support.
