It's time for our tenth annual opportunity to dream about a fantastic summer tandem trip while eating in tandem with your fellow club members.

This year's presentation will be "700 Miles of Canoeing -- by Tandem Bike," Jeff and Louise Davis will explain how they pulled off this odd challenge. Over three summers they found a series of cottages with canoes, each one withing one day's tandem-biking range of the one before and after -- and each one on some interesting tidewater cove, slough or river, with a few freshwater lakes thrown in as well. With only their trusty steed "Little Red" for the weekly moves plus all the grocery shopping and more, it was a logistical challenge but an athletic and scenic success. And you thought your tandem bike was only for biking!

Plan to arrive for this great event about noon, with nibbling and sipping to start when a few nibble-able and sip-able items appear, then full lunch starting about 12:30. 'Round about 1:30 we'll start our vicarious vacationing, with dessert to follow the presentation. Please bring a shareable quantity of your favorite comestible and either surprise us, or let us know ahead of time (in comments below) in hopes we don't have 4 versions of the same thing. Hot chocolate, coffee and tea, both of the latter in caffeinated and decaf versions, will be provided. You are also welcome to bring along a beverage of your choice.
