Pre-NWTR Ride in rural Oregon

Want a nice leg-stretcher en route to the NWTR? We'll be riding the loop from the small town of Independence to the Buena Vista Ferry and back, 21 miles with 480' of climbing. Mostly back roads, mostly on the flat Willamette flood plain.
Ride starts at 1 pm outside the River Restaurant (aka Gilgamesh Brewing). On street parking nearby or use the parking lot on C Street where it meets the Willamette in the town park, 2 blocks from the restaurant. You're welcome to join us for lunch at the restaurant at noon. With our schedule we should be able to join the welcome party for NWTR between 4:30 & 5 pm (it goes to 6).
