The New Year is the best time to wipe the slate clean, that's why everyone does it, but most people can't sustain new habits long-term. As a Clinical Nutritionist, I'd like to share my knowledge, as well as learn new things from members, to help you succeed on a lifelong journey to feeling better, or keeping that good feeling (which tends to decline as we age). Please join us!
Are you interested in whole body nutrition and how it affects your overall health and well-being? In this meetup we will look at food, movement and exercise, weight-loss, body composition, sleep and sleep hygiene, supplements, herbs, medication and their impact on nutrients (depletions), the affect of mental health on the body, pain, inflammation, life-stage related conditions, disease prevention, and diets for specific medical conditions. I am also very happy to receive suggestions from members.
To name a few topics we might cover: Eating for general health and prevention, 7-day food diary and modification, leaky gut (intestinal permeability), osteoarthritis, diabetes, diet and exercise to lose weight (and what percentage of each do you need to really lose), processed foods vs. whole foods, immune health and how to boost it, how to get quality sleep, auto-immune issues (Graves', Celiac, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and more), the common cold, etc. This is an abridged list, of course, please feel free to email me about any specific interests you may have.
The Meetups will be in a group format. In addition, I am available for one-on-one consultations if you are interested in a more focused approach. Please contact me for more information. If anyone is interested in hosting, I will be looking for volunteers. I can't wait to get started on the best new year ever!
