Welcome to the Exceptional Singles group!! We are mostly Gen X with a few Millennials sprinkled in. This is a great and welcoming group with a wide variety of members and events so join up and add your positive energy to the group!

Hey folks! We have a couple of new policies:

Ladies who apply to the group and recruit a new "qualified" gentleman to join will get immediate approval provided both parties meet our criteria.

Looking to meet like-minded, eligible singles while making new friends? You’ve come to the right place! We are a fun-loving group geared toward building connections through diverse events and activities. In our group you will have every opportunity to meet new friends and, possibly, develop a romantic relationship with someone special. For certain events, that are geared towards intentional dating, we are committed to ensuring there are approximately the same number of men and women attending to help increase the odds of a connection.

Please note: At this time we are in a holding pattern for admitting new ladies to the group. We strive for balance within the group and as more men join the group we will admit ladies who are pending membership.

RSVPs only. Events are not open for walk-ins.
YOU MUST turn on Meetup notifications - we only correspond via the app so if you miss a message you may miss info about the event.
Events are open to everyone. However, on rare occasions, the organizers may adjust the RSVP list to ensure new members have a chance to participate and to support balanced gender representation. Our goal is to encourage broader participation rather than having the same individuals attend every time.

Hard Rules: To maximize engagement for all members, you will be removed for the following reasons:

No-shows.
Three same day cancellations without notice to the host/hostess
Lack of activity - inactive for two months. ( this means you haven't logged into the group for 2 months)

San Marcos Lions Club Tube Rental, 170 Charles Austin Dr, San Marcos, TX, US

Join us for a relaxing escape to the San Marcos River where the water is 72º all year round! Enjoy scenic river views, winding your way through nature's wonders, and soaking in the sun.

Please note that your RSVP to this Meetup event will not get you on the river with us. You must reserve your tube and/or shuttle pass by using this link:

on or after May 1, 2026 when the tubing season starts.

Itinerary: 
9:00 am - meet to carpool; one carpool meeting spot will be in Cedar Park other spots will be coordinated if requested 
10:00 am - arrive in San Marcos and get your tube; tubes/shuttle passes must be reserved here: https://www.tubesanmarcos.com/ 
10:30 am - start first float down the river 
Noon - return to start point and eat lunch (pack a lunch or grab something nearby) 
1:00 pm - start second float down the river 
2:30 pm - return to start point and turn in tubes 
3:00 pm - load up for return trip 
Optional - stop for appetizers and drinks on way back 
4:00 pm - end of the event

Cost? 
• $25 per tube rental, which includes all day access to our tubes and shuttle service! (Get $2 off per tube using the promo code: Earlybird) 
• $15 for unlimited shuttle service (if you are not renting tubes with us).  
• We highly recommend booking online with us to rent a tube or to use the shuttle system. Using the promo code "earlybird" during the checkout process will save you $2 per tube!

Is alcohol allowed? 
• You are allowed to have alcohol while you float but it is unlawful to consume alcohol in any of the San Marcos city parks. 
• You are not allowed to possess Glass or Styrofoam inside of the San Marcos River or in any of the city parks (this is a state law for all Texas parks and rivers).

Are dogs allowed in the parks? Are they allowed on the shuttle? 
• Dogs are allowed in city parks as long as they are leashed at all times. 
• Dogs are allowed on the shuttles as long as they are leashed and our employees are allowed to pet and/or take pictures of them! 

What is the river like? 
• The San Marcos River is a natural river system that begins from an underground source in San Marcos at Spring Lake and flows 72 degrees and crystal clear year-round.

RSVPs for this event will close at 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 26th to allow proper coordination of those participating.
