Waterwork Kayak/SUP event on Lady Bird Lake
Details
Kayak, canoe or stand-up-paddle (SUP) on Lady Bird Lake at dusk and view the Waterwork art show projected on the Seaholm intake facility. This will be a uniquely Austin experience. After the art show we can grab a drink at a nearby establishment.
You must reserve your boat or paddle board from Texas Rowing Center in advance.
Be sure to choose the Sept. 26 date.

Reserve your kayak, canoe or SUP for the WaterWorks events at dusk on Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26, 2026. See the iconic façade of the historic Seaholm Intake Facility transform into a vibrant canvas of art, light, and motion. WaterWork is a unique, immersive art experience co-created by The Trail Conservancy and Design Austin, that celebrates the dynamic relationship between Austin’s urban landscape and its cherished natural environment. Using state-of-the-art projection mapping technology, the Seaholm Waterfront will come alive with captivating artworks from fifteen talented Austin artists. Each artist’s work explores and illuminates the vibrant coexistence between Austin’s bustling cityscape and its restorative beauty of natural spaces.
