What is Excursions by the Bay?
We are a social club for single adults of all ages that sponsors about 70 fun events each year all over the Bay Area! This includes dance parties, speed dating, cocktail parties, wine tastings, etc.
All of our events are fundraisers for The Seva Foundation, to restore sight to the blind. Every $50 we raise finances a cataract surgery in one of 20 poor countries around the world! So you can have fun at the parties, meet new friends, and cure blind people at the same time!

Matching will be powered by Matchbox**. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. It’s also the same technology behind the Marriage Pact, a tradition at 100+ universities that’s matched more than half a million people to date.
HOW IT WORKS:
– Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox’s team of relationship scientists.
– The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
– After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed (3 rounds of matches)WHO IT’S FOR:
– The matching process is highly intentional—come with an open mind!
– If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
– At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.EVENT STRUCTURE:
– This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time.
– 7:00pm—the event begins on time
– 7:30pm—doors close, group match- 8:00pm - first match
– 8:20pm—second match
– 8:40pm—third match
– 9:00pm—event concludes
LOCATION: The Harlequin, 68 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94103. Conveniently located near BART and MUNI. Paid parking available at giant Fifth & Mission Garage.

**Q: What is your refund policy?**
A: We need to balance the party, and that involves planning! So no refunds can be granted within 5 days of the event.**Q: What if I don’t get a match?**
A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. But we hope you might make new friends.**Q: How many interactions can I expect??**
A: Maximize your chances of connection! We highly encourage you to mingle with fellow participants before and after the structured activities.
