A playful improv course, where you can work with the same group of people, all getting to try things out at the same time, and grow the teamwork skills that help improvisers to really shine. Aimed at beginners though experienced are welcome too, as this continuity is really helpful.

We will cover elements of characterisation, setting a scene, using body and emotional change, as well as growing skill in "yes, and", making your partner look good (they do the same for you!) and getting comfortable with going with the flow. And so much more. All while playing fun games and having a feast of a time.

This is five weeks, two hours a week, on a Monday evening 6pm to 8pm and the cost is £75 (I will send a link to participants). There are occasional special events, Jam nights, etc to try out your new improv confidence.

NB The first evening is at Exeter Community Centre, the next will be a different venue, in the central area. TBC

"But I'm not funny" Just play and have a good time and people will love you for it. That is what makes people laugh.
"What if I make a mistake?" We love mistakes and we love to laugh at them. There is nothing better than making a mess with mates. All "mistakes" welcome!
"Will I fit in?" You don't need to be anything other than your sweet self.
If you are still unsure, drop me a line or give me a call on 07989 564660 with any questions.

Cathy Towers is leading this course and has been a player, performer and teacher for some years. She has a skill for adapting things to suit who is in the class, and being sensitive to individual needs. A safe pair of hands, setting a safe environment to experiment in.
