Sahale Glacier Backpack

Details

Nancy and I are leading a backpacking trip to Sahale Glacier in North Cascades National Park. The hike and camping spot at the Glacier are EPIC.
There is a great chance we will get backcountry permits for camping if we go sunday night; but we can always turn it into a couple of day hikes to the glacier and elsewhere around the park in case they dont have any more left (and in that case, we can camp legally for free near the NCNP visitor center).

Itinerary goes something like this:
Sept 13: Assemble at Eric/Nancy's House in NE portland in early afternoon. Can organize and determine carpooling as need be. Drive to the park and sleep in cars or camp on the lawn at the NCNP Visitor Center.
Sept 14: Grab permit from the Visitor Center and hike in to the glacier about 6 miles. Sleep there (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/cascade-pass-and-sahale-arm-trail--2)
Sept 15, hike out and drive back to Portland. Alternatively, you may stay and check out more of the park if you want.

Add yourself to waitlist and I will add you if I know you, or otherwise first ask some questions of you if I dont.
Required:
-Facebook for making a group chat
-Filled out the liability waiver
-10 essentials of backpacking. Intermediate level is fine as long as you have all safety critical gear. No first time backpackers please!
-You can bring a guest but talk to me first so I can learn about who they are.
