About us
At Expat Cinema: Meet up we screen recent foreign language films with English subtitles. Afterwards we get together to chat and network over a drink.
The meetings are at Rialto VU: a brand new innovative film theatre at the VU Campus. Our host Karolina will be there beforehand and afterwards to meet and greet and have a few drinks.
Tickets are €12, or you can use your Cineville-card, which makes it a bargain to boot. Tickets can be booked or reserved in advance.

Behind the lines, he meets the charismatic Francis, who, along with a group of rejected soldiers, puts on improvised theater performances to keep the troops' spirits up. Amidst muddy trenches, where vulnerability seems to have no place, Francis opens up an unexpected space of imagination, freedom, and tenderness for Pierre. Behind the scenes, the men increasingly find each other, and their shared moments gain more and more significance. Something emerges that the war doesn’t seem able to destroy: moments of freedom and an unexpected love.
