In Lisbon for Web Summit week? New in town? Or just ready to meet some new people?

Join us for a free afternoon spy mission across Lisbon. Grab your friends, or borrow a few strangers.

Your cover story? Sightseeing.
Your secret objective? Mischief.

🎟️ HOW TO GET YOUR FREE SPOT
RSVPing on Meetup does NOT reserve your spot. To play, register on the GoQuestIRL event page:
1. Open the link above.
2. Choose how many players (just you is perfect).
3. Tick "I'm happy to be in the photos." That is what makes your place free.
4. Tap Book Your Spot and sign in. No payment, no card needed.
Free spots are limited, so register early. Your place is confirmed only once you've registered on the event page, even if you've already clicked "Going" here.
Why is it free? We'll be capturing the afternoon in photos and short videos for the GoQuestIRL website and social media. No posing, no scripts. We just want to show people having a great time.
(Prefer not to be in photos? You can still join for €10. Just leave the box unticked.)

🕵️ WHAT TO EXPECT
Everyone starts together at the meeting point with an opening mission. You'll meet the other players and get your bearings, and about 30 minutes in, teams form.
Then the real mission begins. Your phone hands you the story as your team moves through a few locations around central Lisbon.
Expect:
🔎 Clues that make you look at the city a little differently
🤝 Challenges where everyone has a part to play
📸 Chances to create evidence along the way
😂 Moments that will probably become inside jokes
🕵️ And somewhere along the way, someone may have a secret agenda...
You won't know exactly what's coming. That's part of the fun.

❤️ THE POINT ISN'T SIGHTSEEING
This isn't a walking tour, and it's not about being the smartest person in the group. It's designed to get people talking, laughing, working together and doing something memorable.
You don't need to know Lisbon.
You don't need to be a puzzle genius.
You definitely don't need to be outgoing.
By the end, you'll know the people on your team a lot better than when you arrived.

🚶 LESS WALKING, MORE DOING
We heard the feedback from our last Meetup. The walks between locations are shorter now, and more of the adventure happens at each place you stop.

👥 WHO IS THIS FOR?
• Anyone in Lisbon for Web Summit week who wants to meet people away from the conference
• Expats and locals looking to make new friends
• Solo adventurers and people new to Lisbon
• Friends looking for something different to do together
• Anyone who likes games, challenges and a little mystery
Coming alone? Perfect. You'll meet everyone during the opening mission, before teams are formed.
Coming with friends? Also great. You'll still mix with the other players.

📍 MEETING POINT
Monday, November 9, 1:30 PM
Beside the Arco do Triunfo da Rua Augusta, Praça do Comércio.
1. Enter Praça do Comércio.
2. Find the Arco do Triunfo da Rua Augusta (the big arch).
3. Look for the group beside the arch.
📍 Pin: 38.7084385, -9.1368174
Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. The game starts together, and arriving late makes it hard to catch up.

🔋 CHARGE YOUR PHONE (AND BRING DATA)
Your phone runs the whole adventure. Arrive fully charged, with mobile data that works in Portugal. Visiting from abroad? Check your roaming or eSIM before you leave.
No app to download. You'll get a link that opens straight in your phone's browser.
📱 WHAT TO BRING
• Your own smartphone, fully charged, with mobile data
• Comfortable shoes
• Water
• Clothes for the weather (all play is outdoors)
• A sense of humour
ℹ️ GOOD TO KNOW
• Played in English.
• Teams form about 30 minutes in, not at the meeting point.
• Some information is kept secret on purpose. That's part of the fun.
• There is some walking between locations, but much less than before.
• Food, drinks and transport aren't included.
• Done by about 4:00 PM.

🚀 READY?
Come meet new people, see Lisbon in a completely different way, and find out what happens when a group of strangers gets the same mission.
You might come for the quest.
You might leave with a new group chat.
