Thrive in Portugal Support Group
Details
Starting a life in Portugal can stir up more than just excitement.
Alongside the newness, many people experience moments of doubt, loneliness, or a sense of loss for what they’ve left behind. That can feel confusing, especially when this was meant to be a positive step.
It is not always easy to talk about these feelings. When others around you are focused on the excitement of moving, or do not fully understand the experience, you may find yourself keeping things to yourself or pushing past what is really going on.
Thrive in Portugal offers a supportive space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin to make sense of those experiences in a constructive way. It is not about dwelling on problems, but about exploring them with the right support so you can move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Each session focuses on a specific theme related to life abroad. This allows us to look at common challenges in a more practical and grounded way, while sharing perspectives, learning from one another, and finding approaches that genuinely help.
Sessions are guided by Aviva Ariel, a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Art Therapist with over 20 years of experience. Alongside the connection of the group, you will benefit from professional insight in a space that is thoughtful, balanced, and forward-looking.
This space is for you if:
- You are planning your move and want to feel more emotionally prepared
- You are already in Portugal and adjusting is not as straightforward as you expected
- You are looking for support, perspective, and practical ways to navigate this transition
Join us and discover that you’re not alone. Together, we’ll find ways to thrive in your new chapter.
As a commitment to supporting the community, this session will be free for everyone.
