What we’re about
If you want to get out and see/ do/ taste new things, explore arts and culture in Toronto, learn, meet new people and have fun, then this is the group for you. Adults/ single/ married/ any gender/ background/ religion are all welcome. We'll often see/ do something and talk about it after, over a meal. I'll do my best to find interesting events at the best prices. Most events will be on weekends, with occasional evenings during the week night, dictated by that event. You can look forward to a curated list of diverse, easy events that are well-organized with a friendly and caring host, and come away enjoying the time and possibly making a new friend.
We will go to art galleries, museums, theatres, see/hear live music such as jazz, pop, symphony and opera, ballet, movies, Toronto International Film Festival, walks, dances, astronomy events, Christmas markets, try new and established restaurants, high tea, and in the summer, cruises, trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake and Stratford.
During our home stay, events will be posted more frequently, will generally be international, free, online, and we will sometimes have the opportunity to participate in live ones. We'll also virtually travel to international famous sites, cities and countries.
I hope you will join us.

On Sunday September 21st, join Joanie, founder of RevelEleven, for her annual Fall Equinox Inentions & Visioning Workshop. As we cross the threshold into a new season, the Fall Equinox invites us to slow down, reflect, and realign. What are you ready to release as you make space for what truly nourishes your spirit? What intentions do you want to set for the next few months?
Bring your journal and an open heart as we pause to honor the lessons of the past season and set thoughtful intentions for the next 90 days leading up to the Winter Solstice. We will spend a majority of the time journaling – think of it as giving yourself a great gift – the gift of time.
Rooted in self-reflection and personal clarity, this workshop will help you enter the season with intention, grace, and grounded purpose.Note: You will need to register in advance to receive the link to join the session.

- Virtual REGISTER - Alfred Hitchcock Thriller "The Lodger" (Toronto)Link visible for attendees
Note: you will need to register in advance directly with the company using the Registration link below, to obtain the link to the live event.
On Saturday September 26th, see Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger to Celebrate National Silent Film Day. Before Psycho and Rear Window, Alfred Hitchcock made his mark with The Lodger - a silent-era thriller brimming with suspense and style, what he would come to consider his true directorial debut. Set in a fog-drenched London gripped by fear, the film follows a mysterious tenant who may or may not be the serial killer known as "The Avenger." With moody cinematography, a shadowy leading man, and Hitchcock’s first cameo, this early gem showcases the director’s budding genius. Register for Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger on Saturday September 26th.
