Free - Toronto Symphony Orchestra Community Concert (St Andrew Stn.)

Note: Tickets will be available starting Sep. 8th at 10am, so please ensure you register with the TSO for your own. If I am unable to score tickets for myself and members, members can still meetup to enter and sit together.

On Saturday September 20th, be part of The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) Annual Free Community Concert, perfect for newcomers and avid fans. Join your Toronto Symphony Orchestra for a one-hour concert of beloved classics and fresh discoveries, led by Music Director Gustavo Gimeno and Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser. This joyful annual tradition marks the beginning of their season and opens the doors of Roy Thomson Hall to thousands of people from across the city. In fact, I have the pleasure of attending the 2025 season opening concert that night. It’s designed to say: this orchestra belongs to you. It’s also a signature event in our commitment to access and inclusion—bringing Torontonians and visitors of all backgrounds into the hall, many for the first time. With multilingual support, intentional community partnerships, and diverse programming, their Open House invites every corner of the city to feel at home with them in one welcoming afternoon, and positions the audience not just as guests, but as participants in the season ahead. There will be a free open house earlier that morning, if you'd like to participate. Note: Please register for your tickets starting at 10am on Sep 10th, using the Register link below in blue.

MEETUP TIME

Meet members at: 1:30pm in the line outside the Box Office at Roy Thomson Hall at 60 Simcoe St. (southwest corner) to go in together. There will be a bag check - larger bags, opened water bottles and outside food not allowed.

Concert starts: 2pm

Length: 60 minutes
