Let's go on a hike together!
We plan to start from parking spot Nonn ( coordinates for google maps: 47.735693, 12.858815; Bad Reichenhall) in the morning. If you reach by public transport, we could pick you up from/ meet at Bad Reichenhall station.
The Hochstaufen (1771m) is Bad Reichenhall's local mountain. It is also the easternmost mountain in the Chiemgau Alps and offers a superb panorama, including of the Predigtstuhl and Hochthron directly opposite - but also far, far beyond. Despite its striking appearance, it is technically quite easy to climb. The easiest way up is via the Batlmahd. The ascent is moderate throughout. Unfortunately the mountain hut is closed at the moment, but we can surely find beautiful spots for a picknick along the way.
