Santa Ysabel East- Back Trails Hike (New area)

This is the new back trails hike that we canceled last spring due to rain.

Join Park Attendant Bill Augustus in a hike through some of the back trails of the Santa Ysabel East Preserve. Enjoy discussions about the history, plants and wildlife of the Preserve, while seeing places in the Preserve you don’t normally get to see.

This hike will include an elevation gain and loss of approximately 500 feet in 1/2 mile. The total hike distance will be approximately 8 miles. This will be a moderate to strenuous hike. Please dress in layers as the temperature will vary throughout the hike. Wear sturdy hiking shoes; bring plenty of water and a snack for the trail.
