Geminids Meteor Shower 2023 in Regional Victoria

** Please note that this event is not open for photographers (no option to bring camera and tripod/mobile tripod). This event is aimed at people who want to experience one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year with the naked eye. This is our fifth meteor shower event **

Please follow these three steps to confirm your spot:

Step 1: Please RSVP to this event on meetup.

Step 2: Please pay the organizer fee ($25) via Trybooking - https://www.trybooking.com/CNYWG

Step 3: Please get the train details ($54.16 - Adult, $33.43 - Concession). Train ticket booking details will be sent within 24 hours after you have got Trybooking tickets. Please note that train tickets are limited.

Trybooking Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets will be refunded only if the event is moved or cancelled. There is also no option to transfer the tickets.

Meeting Point: Let's meet in the Corner of Spencer Street and Bourke Street (Station Side - Near the steps) at 7:20 PM. We will be heading over 200km away from Melbourne for clearer skies. We should get back to Southern Cross Station around 7:40 AM on Friday, 15th December. Please note that return time can change if trains are late. Driving to the destination is not an option for any of our stargazing events.

Temperature: Please carry a warm jacket, beanie and anything to keep you warm - The more layers the better.

Mat: Please carry an outdoor sitting mat or anything you can use to sit on the ground (including a camping chair if you have one)

Food: There are no shops in the destination. Please carry snacks and water. This is an alcohol-free event.

Walking Distance: 30 mins (One way)

Legend has it that wishing upon a shooting star makes the wish come true. Please be reasonable with your wish.

Location: For the safety of people attending the event, the location details will only be shared with ticket holders. For the safety of people attending future events, please do not share the location with anyone. Also, please do not tag the location when sharing photos on Social Media.

About: Let's head to regional Victoria to see Geminids Meteor Shower. Many meteors per hour will be potentially visible. The Geminids are considered to be one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year.
