All aboard for a ride back in time on the Victorian Goldfields Railway! This volunteer-run steam train offers a truly authentic experience, linking the historic gold rush towns of Castlemaine and Maldon in Central Victoria. Sit back and enjoy the sights as the steam engine chugs its way through rolling hills.
Please note: We’ll only be taking the one-way journey from Castlemaine to Maldon.

Trybooking tickets will be scanned at the meeting point.

Please note that the ticket will be only refunded if the event is moved or cancelled. There are no refunds. The tickets also cannot be transferred to a different event. Payments are managed through Trybooking and not Meetup. You will see an "Unpaid" status on your RSVP. The only thing you need is the Trybooking ticket which you will receive by email.

Meeting Point: Let's meet in the Corner of Spencer Street and Bourke Street (Station Side - Near the steps) at 10:40 AM and walk to take the Bendigo Vline train. We should be back in the city around 5:30 PM. Please carry your myki card.

We will stop for lunch in Castlemaine. They have few food options close to the station.
