NOTE: WE WILL NOT BE ENTERING OLD CHANGI HOSPITAL. WE WILL ONLY WALK AROUND THE FRONT AND BACK ENTRANCE AS WELL AS THE PERIMETER OF THE COMPOUND.

Join us on this haunted tour as we look into the Old Changi Hospital, the most popular haunted spot in Singapore.

Built in 1935, the Old Changi Hospital was a former military hospital that once housed over 50,000 prisoners of wars (POWs) during the Japanese Occupation. It is said that a torture chamber was once used by the Kenpeitai (Japanese Secret Police) to extort information from the POWs.

After the Japanese Occupation, the hospital underwent several expansions and name changes. In 1997, the site was abandoned following a merger with Toa Payoh Hospital and the establishment of a newer, larger Changi General Hospital at Simei.

Since then, the Old Changi Hospital has become a popular spot for filming and ghost haunting. From shadow figures to sounds of wailing and getting ‘touched’, various paranormal activities have been experienced and recorded.

• If you are not comfortable with paranormal activities, PLEASE DO NOT RSVP for the event.
• For those who have stated ‘Going’ but eventually cannot make it for the event, please be considerate to those who are on the waitlist and update your RSVP by 15th Oct (Thursday). We will send a reminder email on the 14th Oct (Wednesday).
• For those who have stated ‘Going’ by 15th Oct (Thursday), but do not come on the actual day, we may limit your participation in future events.
• In the event of adverse weather conditions, the walk may be cancelled. We will update the event before 6:00pm if the hike is cancelled.
• We will start punctually and not wait for latecomers. Please be considerate to arrive at the meeting point by 7:00pm.
• Always stay together with the group. If you need to take a break, inform the hosts.

Q: Can I come for the event?
A: Please check your attendance on the event listing on the Meetup platform. If you are under the ‘Waitlist’ you are not on the ‘Going’ list, which means that you are NOT ALLOWED to attend the event. If you are on the ‘Going’ list, it means that your attendance is confirmed and you are expected to attend the event.

Q: How can I get onto the ‘Going’ list?
A: Participants are added onto the ‘Going’ list on a first-come-first-served basis. Due to the travel restrictions, we are seeing a spike in demand for local hiking events and slots for our events are often filled up quickly. We strongly encourage our members to join our Telegram group (https://t.me/explorersgmeetup), where we will be announcing new events beforehand.

Q: Can I bring someone with me if I’m on the going list?
A: To ensure that we adhere to a 10-pax limit, we strictly require all participants attending the event to be on the ‘Going’ list. Hence, we will not allow any participants to bring along any other individual that is not on the ‘Going’ list. If you wish to join the event with your friend or family, they must create a Meetup account and be on the ‘Going’ list too.

Q: When will my attendance be confirmed?
A: The RSVP deadline is 2 days before the actual event. If you are not on the 'Going' list 2 days before the event, your attendance is not confirmed.
