What we’re about

This Meetup is for adults in midlife who are hearing more about psilocybin-assisted therapy and wondering whether it might be helpful for themselves or someone they care about. Many people in midlife find themselves navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship changes, or questions of meaning and purpose. Others are curious about how therapeutic approaches like this may support emotional well-being or a deeper sense of connection. Psychedelic-assisted therapy is one approach that may offer support, but it’s not for everyone, and it’s important to understand it clearly and realistically.

This Meetup does not involve the use of any substances, nor does it provide guidance on obtaining or using psilocybin.

This group is educational and discussion-based. We’ll talk about what psilocybin-assisted therapy actually is (and what it isn’t), who it may be helpful for, potential risks and contraindications, the importance of preparation and integration, and how this work fits alongside therapy, medication, and other forms of support. We’ll also address common questions, fears, and misconceptions in a grounded, non-judgmental way.

This group is especially welcoming to people with little or no psychedelic experience. You do not need to have used psychedelics before, and there is no expectation that you ever will. This is a space for curiosity, thoughtful questions, and honest conversation, not for promoting use. The group may not be a good fit for those seeking to compare psychedelic experiences or pursue recreational use.

The group is facilitated by a licensed psilocybin facilitator in Oregon, with a background in psychology and relationship-focused work. The purpose of the group is education and informed discussion, not facilitation or treatment.

If you’re looking for clear information, ethical discussion, and a mature, respectful community to explore whether this approach might be relevant in midlife, you’re in the right place.
