Moonrise over Mt. Diablo from Mt Wanda

Details
We have a super moon in June. Join me for a leisurely hike to the 640 ft. summit of Mt Wanda. It is a moderately strenuous 1 mile hike. This image was captured last night (May 25). We will have the opportunity to capture some sunset pictures as well.

There is a small parking lot at the base of the trail head. Take the Alhambra Ave exit off Highway 4 and head south on Alhambra Ave. for a very short distance. The lot is visible from Alhambra Ave. but you will need to turn on Franklin Canyon Rd. and take an immediate left to enter the parking lot. Carpooling is a good idea as it is a small lot. If the lot is full you can park in the John Muir Nat'l Historic Site lot and walk to the trailhead.
I will be leading this group as a Park Volunteer so other visitors could potentially be joining us.
Bring water, flashlight and a jacket as it can get breezy and cool on the summit. Good walking shoes will also be helpful.
