Greatest Hits: World Food Tour Gabriella's Vietnam
Details
Get ready to immerse yourself in the authentic tastes of Vietnam! Out World Food Tour is going back to Gabriella's Vietnam. A love letter to heritage cooking, named after the chef’s daughter and inspired by the flavors of her home country. The space is lively and beautifully designed, offering a festive backdrop for our group to connect over some of the most talked-about dishes in the city.
Why You Should Join Us:
Gabriella's Vietnam has quickly become a standout in Philly's competitive food scene, earning praise for its "soul-infused" approach to classic recipes. It’s the perfect spot for our adventurous eaters to try something new while enjoying the warm, energetic ambiance of South Philly.
- Signature Dishes: Reviewers highly recommend the Banh Beo (water fern cakes) and the Sizzling Shaking Beef.
- Authentic Techniques: The kitchen focuses on traditional preparations that bring out the deep, complex flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.
What's The Plan?
We’ll be gathering at Gabriella's Vietnam to share a variety of their celebrated small plates and family-style entrees. This is a fantastic way to experience a broad range of flavors in one evening. You can preview their mouth-watering menu here: gabriellasvietnam.com
The Deets:
- BYOB: This is a BYOB establishment! Feel free to bring a crisp Riesling, a light beer, or your favorite sparkling cider to complement the bright and spicy flavors of the menu.
- Cost: We will plan to order several shared appetizers for the table, and then everyone can order their own entree. Please anticipate the total cost to be approximately $40–$50 per person (including tax and a 20% tip). To make bill-splitting easier, please bring cash.
- Allergies: Vietnamese food often uses peanuts and fish sauce. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let me know as soon as you RSVP so I can inform the restaurant.
- Important: I will send a confirmation message a day or two before our visit to finalize the headcount. If your plans change, please update your RSVP promptly to allow those on the waitlist to join.
- Parking: Located at 1837 Passyunk Ave, street parking can be very tight in this popular neighborhood. I recommend using a rideshare or checking out the public lot at 1600 E Passyunk Ave.
