Hike & Day Trip: Santa Ysabel Nature Center Loop & Julian Exploration

Join us for a refreshing day outdoors! We'll start the morning with a hike at Santa Ysabel Nature Center Loop Trail, then head into Julian to enjoy lunch, explore local shops and of course grab a slice of their famous apple pie. This event is perfect for anyone who enjoys nature, good company, and a relaxing day in the mountains.

Hike Details:

• Trail: Santa Ysabel Nature Center Loop Trail (Please use these directions provided on alltrails to get to the trailhead)
• Distance: 3.8 miles
• Elevation gain: 649 ft.
• There is some uphill sections, mostly well-maintained trail)
• Restrooms at the trailhead

Tentative Itinerary:

• 8:30 am: Meet at trailhead to begin hike
• Noon: Drive to Julian (meeting location TBD) for lunch and exploration.

What to Bring:

• Water (at least 2 liters)
• Snacks
• Sun protection
• Comfortable shoes
• Layers - mornings can be cool

Additional Information:

• Carpooling is encouraged, parking at the nature center is $5 per vehicle and space is limited.
• Check the weather before you go and be prepared.
