Let the kids run around with other kids in the grass.
Make lemonade together and pop bubbles and dance to hits.
Make forts out of palm fronds.
Dig in the dirt.
Make up the rules to the game as you go along.
Fall down, and get back up again.
Disagree and make up again.
Read a book in the shade.
Find a bee or a lizard.
Make a new friend.
There's something magical that happens when multi-age groups get together outside with no lessons or mandatory activities. It's becoming less common as kids go to centers and programs after school and life for both parents and kids becomes scheduled-- full of obligations.
Take a break with us. We meet in and around the University Heights area of San Diego. We host families with children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old. We have snacks and drinks. There will always be some simple nature-based activity for the kids and adults to do together.
If what your family needs is more community and more playfulness, we're the group for you. If you or your kids have forgotten or never learned how to just play, we're here for you. If your kids are tired of playing alone. Come join us. If you've gotten tired of pretending like you're a seven-year old, come sit outside in the sun while your kid plays with other kids.
Note: This is a group for families. You must have a child between the ages of 3-12 to participate. Parents or guardians are required to attend with their children.
All events are free. Location for events vary, but are in the University Heights area unless otherwise noted. When you RSVP to an event we'll send location details. We look forward to meeting you there. Let's play!
