Welcome to Family Adventures in Nature!

This message contains important information about our group, so please take a couple of minutes to read it.

We are currently reestablishing this group to return once again to an active status. My husband Ron and I started this group in 2010, dedicated to helping families connect their children (and themselves) to nature. Inspired by Richard Louv's book, Last Child in the Woods, this "family nature club" helps families get nature back on their calendars with a variety of opportunities. If you would like to organize a hike or other nature-based outing, please reach out to me at: jklswaisgood@gmail.com

Please remember to set your email preferences to your liking.

We do appreciate it when people take the time to RSVP as it helps us plan accordingly.

A couple of ground rules/expectations:
- Parents are responsible for their children AT ALL TIMES and are responsible for their well-being. You will be asked to sign in at each event, reminding you of this expectation, and releasing Family Adventures in Nature and its leaders from any liability.
- Please leave your four-legged family members at home. While we also love our dog, this is a family and child-centered group and therefore in everyone's best interest must be dog-free.
- If you RSVP that you'll attend an event and your plans change, please take a moment to also change your RSVP. We do appreciate it when people RSVP as it helps us plan accordingly.

For the complete set of group norms and expectations, visit the "PAGES" tab on the Meetup site.

Please contact me with any questions or feedback anytime, or if you'd like to start up a group "nearby" your home! Thanks and we hope to see you out in nature soon!

Best,

Janice
