¡Por favor acompáñennos para conversar en español con un agradable grupo de personas!
Our group consists of beginning to advanced conversation levels and some native speakers (please note this is not a class; at least some prior Spanish knowledge is needed as we try to speak in Spanish the entire time).
Our group meets every Tuesday, alternating every other week with in-person and online (Zoom) Meetups. See our Events list/calendar for details.
For the in-person events:
We meet from 6:30 PM to around 8:00 PM for dinner at El Patio restaurant in Farmington. You are not required to order food, but most people do. El Patio is a Mexican Restaurant with a Mexican wait staff who wait on us in Spanish. It's like being in Mexico! :-)
Please RSVP if you plan to attend a Meetup, and please change your RSVP to "no" if you have a change in plans. This allows us to make an accurate reservation count at the restaurant where the staff prepares tables for us.
For the online events:
We meet from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (Eastern time) on Zoom. In addition to talking, we sometimes play games or have presentations. We use "breakout rooms" if we have a large group.
We are now requiring a profile photo for new members - it makes it easier for us to recognize and remember everyone, and also because we have had issues with fake profiles.
Dues are $5/year to help pay for the Meetup organizer/website fees and Zoom fees. Your first time is free with dues to be collected at the 2nd Meetup you attend in person.
