What are the Evolutionary Origins of Morality?
Sunday March 8th 7.15 for 7.30pm

Hop Blossom Pub, Long Garden Walk, Farnham, GU9 7HX

A talk by David Good followed by an open group discussion about where our moral sense comes from and how it works.

Human beings have a strong moral sense, a belief in what behaviour is right and what is wrong. We may not always agree on exactly what is right, but that there is right and wrong is a universal human sensibility.

Throughout human history there has been continual debate about the nature of this moral sense.

Are our moral faculties developed through reason and then applied to our actions, or are they are based on innate abilities and that we rationalise about them only after the event?

David’s talk will be based around two books from the (now deceased) primatologist Frans de Waal.

Do come along and join in the discussions.
Everyone is welcome!!
Non-members £3. Members free.
Drinks are available at the Pub
