This month we are offering our Saha community a chance to view the film:
In Waves and War.
Fayetteville, home to U.S. Army Special Operations, will host a special screening of In Waves and War — a powerful new documentary following three Navy SEALs on a journey through trauma, transformation, and rediscovery.
Years of intense warfare left Navy SEAL Marcus Capone battling treatment-resistant PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and severe depression. Fearing for his life, his wife Amber turned to a promising therapy combining two powerful psychedelic treatments not currently approved for use in the United States. After Marcus’ remarkable recovery, the couple committed themselves to helping other veterans access similar healing pathways.
Through intimate interviews, striking animation, and pioneering research at Stanford’s Brain Stimulation Lab, In Waves and War offers a deeply human portrait of hope for a community in crisis.

> “The rich and dynamic tapestry of interviews, animation and archival footage in this film creates an emotionally compelling, powerful doc that we can all resonate with.” – Bend Film Team

Following the film, attendees will engage in a thoughtful panel discussion featuring experts connected to the Special Operations community. This conversation will explore trauma recovery, emerging therapies, research, and the evolving landscape of veteran mental health support.
