It is the start of a new year. Why not kick it off by spending some time on your personal portfolio website?

FEDSA is partnering with Code Capsules and OfferZen to host a free, full-day virtual hackathon for portfolios of all types. Our panel of mentors will help you build your portfolio, provide design feedback and help you deploy your site to a live URL.

👪 How do I sign-up?

Please join the dedicated "portfolio-hackathon" Slack channel here: http://bit.ly/2YJ9Hb6. All discussion and activity during the day will happen by means of this channel.

⭐ Why a portfolio?

Portfolios are a great way to land freelance clients or push yourself to the front of the queue in job interviews. Yet, we rarely make dedicated time to create our iterate on our professional portfolios. The hope is that this event will provide you with the motivation and guidance to do just this!

🤖 Are coding skills required?

Our facilitators are super keen to teach you HTML and CSS during the event so that you are able to code your own portfolio (it is super easy!). However, you are more than welcome to take part if want to use a drag-and-drop site builder like Wix, Squarespace, Wordpress, etc. too!

⏰ Do I need to stay from 9:00 to 18:00?

Not at all! You are welcome to pop in and out during as needed. We will be making use of the public Code Capsules Slack Workspace. This means that you can ask questions or share your progress asynchronously throughout the day.
