Talk Description:
A new wave of development called local-first or LoFi development is taking place. In short, it allows users to interact with your application in real-time while the syncing of information with the remote data store is all done in the background.

This talk will give you an introduction to how we got here and why local-first development is a great solution to add to your arsenal, as well as provide different use cases and technologies. There will also be a demo showcasing exactly how this works using one of the LoFi technologies called PowerSync. For more information and ongoing discussions on local-first, check out localfirstweb.dev.
